The hotline was established in 1998 and gives students, teachers, parents, and others a way to report threats and other school crimes both easily and anonymously.
Georgia's 24-hour school safety hotline number is:

At ECHS, we believe students thrive when they feel seen, supported, and connected. We are intentional about creating a school culture where everyone belongs.
At Early County High School, we are proud to foster a positive and inclusive environment where students feel safe, valued, and inspired to succeed. Through our Capturing Kids’ Hearts program, we intentionally build strong relationships between students and staff, creating a climate of trust, empathy, and mutual respect. Our commitment to connection goes beyond the classroom! We offer more than 20 extracurricular clubs and athletic teams that encourage students to explore their interests, develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendships. Every student at ECHS has the opportunity to be part of something meaningful, because belonging is not just a goal, it’s who we are. ECHS equips every student with the skills and credentials for success beyond graduation, whether in college, technical programs, or the workforce.
Early County High School’s CTAE program is not only a standout in southwest Georgia, but it is one of the strongest in the state. With a remarkable 97.8% graduation rate among CTAE concentrators, our students consistently earn state and regional recognition for their achievements. We're awarded hundreds of thousands in grants from sources such as the Georgia DOE and GA AIM initiatives. These grants help to provide cutting-edge equipment which leads to industry certifications, giving students real-world skills and career readiness.
For college-bound students, ECHS offers a variety of dual enrollment courses, advanced classes, and college-level experiences that challenge and prepare students for life after high school. Our academic programs emphasize critical thinking, strong communication, and real-world application; ensuring students are not only eligible for postsecondary opportunities, but confident and ready to succeed in them.
At ECHS, the safety and well-being of our students and staff come first—every decision starts with that commitment.
Early County High School takes a proactive, layered approach to school safety. Our staff is trained in crisis response protocols, and we work closely with local law enforcement to ensure a visible presence on campus and strong emergency preparedness. Controlled access points, surveillance systems, and regular safety drills help maintain a secure environment. We also believe emotional safety matters—our Capturing Kids’ Hearts initiative fosters trust and connection, so students feel supported and seen. At ECHS, safety isn’t just a plan—it’s a priority woven into every part of our school day.
